51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú seniors Victoria Montecillo ’16 and Katie Marcus Reker ’16 are double majoring in media studies and theatre, which means they must complete a thesis project in each subject in order to graduate. For their theatre theses, they chose to star in Urinetown (2001), the Tony Award–winning musical that satirizes capitalism, the legal system, and classic Broadway musicals.

51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú senior Chiara Moore, a member of the After School Specials a cappella group at the Claremont Colleges, was interviewed on April 13, 2016 along with her fellow vocal musicians by KABC-Channel 7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles for winning the “‘Til It Happens to You: Sing for Survivors” national singing contest, lending their voices to the fight against sexual abuse on college campuses.
