Sophomores Gillian Bell, Chloe Boxer, Molly Bradshaw, Madeleine Callan, Margo Collazo, Katie Eu, Anna Horne, Tsion Mamo, Vivian Monteiro, Emma Sar, and Aanya Subramaniam curated the exhibition as part of Fletcher Jones Chair in Art and Professor of Art Ken Gonzales-Day鈥檚 Core III class.

Natalie Tsai ’22 said the class has inspired her to become more involved with chemistry-related research, specifically antibiotic discovery. 鈥淭his course showed me the multitude of ways that chemists can make an impact in their communities,鈥 she said.

In a series called 鈥淩esearch Bytes,鈥 the account uses Instagram鈥檚 IGTV video platform to feature brief vlogs about students鈥 summer research projects and to provide information about the fellowships that made these projects possible.

During a typical class session this past summer, students in Assistant Professor of Religious Studies Luis Sal茅s鈥檚 鈥淔eminist Interpretations of the Bible鈥 course could often be found sleuthing around Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms during class time. But they weren鈥檛 distracted; this was part of their assignment: they were looking for social media posts from high-profile people that used religious assumptions to support public policy decisions.
