Fighting COVID-19 from Within: Cameron Statton 鈥16 Studies the Body鈥檚 Immune Response to the Coronavirus
As the coronavirus continues to spread in many US states, scientists the world over are feverishly searching for new ways to test, track, and treat patients with COVID-19. Cameron Statton 鈥16 is among those at the vanguard of these developing technologies, serving as the program manager for the Antigen Map Project within Microsoft Health聽NExT.

The Los Angeles Times reported that California State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson ’71 is sponsoring a bill, SB 956, to assess tax expenditures鈥攃ommonly known as “loopholes”鈥攖hat are costly to the state treasury. If passed, the bill would authorize an economic research team to examine tax credits, exemptions, and exclusions to determine whether the expenditures are beneficial to the state.

Student interns at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery wear many hats. During their 2019鈥20 internships, Ludwig intern Annabel Lind 鈥22 and Turk intern Miriam Bankier 鈥20 helped organize the sprawling archives of the gallery鈥檚 permanent collection, assisted with the College鈥檚 76th Ceramic Annual (the longest running ceramics show in the country), and curated their own exhibition from the collection.
