Joint Science Neuroscientist Awarded Two NSF Grants
John Milton, M.D., Ph.D, Fellow, Royal College of Physicians of Canada, Fellow, American Physical Society, and the William R. Kenan Professor of Computational Neuroscience at The Claremont Colleges, has been awarded two National Science Foundation (NSF) research awards this fall.

Michael Deane Lamkin has been named the Bessie and Cecil Frankel Professor of Music at 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú, as announced at the December 2, 2006, meeting of the Board of Trustees. Lamkin is currently vice president and dean of faculty at 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú, as well as professor of music in the Joint Music Program and conductor of The Claremont Concert Orchestra.

With the season over, the Claremont-Mudd-51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Athenas women’s basketball team can look back on an outstanding overall season, with a finish of 20-5, placing them second in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). The Athenas shot off to an impressive pre-season start with four straight victories. They encountered their first loss of the season to the University of Puget Sound in the Caltech Holiday Classic, but made a turnaround to win the rest of the Classic games.
