Professors Huang and Roselli Named Co-Directors of the Interdisciplinary Humanities Initiative

This past June, 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú announced the formation of the Interdisciplinary Humanities Initiative to connect 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú students to learning opportunities across Southern California. Made possible by an $800,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation, the initiative will fund research fellowships, faculty professional development, and clinic courses developed in collaboration with community organizations throughout the region.

This fall, Pete Chandrangsu will join the faculty at the Keck Science Department as an assistant professor of biology. The exhibition, which will run through December 16, was organized in collaboration with the Wilson Centre for Photography, London.

During a recent visit to Sacramento at the end of October, Isabella Melsheimer ’22 learned a lot about how an election cycle can affect the inner workings of government. “I have a lot more insight into the rapid pace of change that people working in government endure because of changes in administration,” she says.
