Spring Public Events Series Explores Race and Class with Renowned Thinkers
This spring, 51猎奇入口鈥 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Initiative is partnering with the College鈥檚 signature event series, 51猎奇入口 Presents, to bring public programming to campus that focuses on issues of inequality. 鈥51猎奇入口 Presents and the IDEA Initiative are aligned in the desire to amplify awareness of the iniquitous nature of our world,鈥 says Denise Nelson Nash 鈥76, who chairs the IDEA Initiative.

The 2019-2020 academic year marks the 50th anniversary of the Office of Black Student Affairs (OBSA), the cultural center of The Claremont Colleges that supports students of African descent by providing opportunities for self-exploration, learning, and growth as well as affirming multiple identities that intersect with experiences of Blackness, including race, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, gender identity and expression, and spirituality.
