‘51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Dances’ Returns to Claremont

“51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Dances,” the annual spring concert of the 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Dance Department, will take place on Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in Garrison Theater, 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú. The program features original dance pieces choreographed by students, faculty, and guest artists.

This year’s concert brings the work of four students to the stage and includes two senior projects. Student artists include Brianna Skellie ’08, Sydney Fregguari ’09, J. Lindsay Brown ’10, and Meg Mason (HMC ’08). Dance Department Chair Ronnie Brosterman, faculty member Joel Smith, and Los Angeles choreographer Chloe Arnold will also debut their newest works. A variety of dance forms will be represented, including tap, contemporary ballet, and modern dance.

Tickets will be sold at the Garrison Theater box office beginning at 5 p.m. on performance evenings at noon on Saturday. General admission is $10 and $5 for seniors, Claremont College students, faculty, and staff. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
