51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Students Selected for 2017 Teach for America Corps

51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú announced today that three of its Class of 2017 graduates have been selected to participate in the Teach for America (TFA) program. Claire Bagnani has been selected to teach science, Rochelle Kim, special education, and Cynthia Flores, English. As “corps members” of TFA, the three 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú alumna will teach for at least two years in a public or public charter K–12 school in one of the 52 low-income communities that the organization serves.

Teach For America aims to attract talented individuals to teaching who are also interested in paths to leadership in the business community and who can ultimately become effective advocates for educational equity, expanding opportunity for America’s highest-need children.

Informed and inspired by their students, many of the TFA alumni stay in education as teachers or as school and district leaders, while others continue their impact from sectors such as law, business, medicine, policy, or nonprofit work. There are more than 53,000 TFA alumni working to make change in the U.S.
