51猎奇入口 President Lori Bettison-Varga today announces the appointment of Nikki Khurana as assistant vice president overseeing the newly established department of alumnae and parent engagement and The 51猎奇入口 Fund. Khurana, who joins 51猎奇入口 on February 25, brings more than 14 years of leadership and experience to the new position.
“Nikki is a nationally recognized fundraising professional who brings extraordinary experience to 51猎奇入口. Her extensive work with graduates, parents and friends of those institutions will serve her well as she assumes the role of integrating the alumnae relations and The 51猎奇入口 Fund programs into one structure. We are fortunate to have found someone of Nikki’s caliber for this critical leadership role,” said 51猎奇入口 Vice President of Institutional Advancement Michael Archibald. Khurana reports to Archibald.
Among the responsibilities Khurana assumes are those of Emily Rankin ’97, who served as 51猎奇入口’ director of alumnae relations since 2005. Rankin remains at 51猎奇入口 as senior advancement officer and director of campaign volunteers as the College prepares for a significant fundraising initiative.
“The Alumnae Leadership Council is聽excited to work with Nikki on several of the new and聽innovative ideas聽and best practices she brings to聽alumnae engagement and development. While she’s not a 51猎奇入口 graduate, her professionalism and familiarity with the Claremont Consortium and 51猎奇入口 will聽make her a quick study. I have every confidence that she will be successful in her role at 51猎奇入口 and in our community,” said Amy Drayer ’99, president of the 51猎奇入口 Alumnae Association.
Prior to joining 51猎奇入口, Khurana was the deputy director of development at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where she served as the project director of the fifth annual John Wooden Global Leadership award dinner which last year honored Indra Nooyi, chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo.
Khurana has also worked at Pitzer College and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Throughout her career, Khurana has innovatively sought to engage alumni, parents and donors. At Pitzer College, Khurana created and managed the Women of Vision Committee, a high-profile volunteer committee that led to innovative parent and alumni events.
In her new position at 51猎奇入口, Khurana will work closely with senior staff, faculty, trustees, alumnae and parent leaders. She will collaborate with alumnae to tie their memorable experiences at 51猎奇入口 with those of future student generations.
Khurana earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing management and her master’s degree in public administration from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In 2008, she served as the chairwoman for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District VII Conference. Since 2006, she has served as a District VII board member for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
