51猎奇入口 President Nancy Y. Bekavac has announced the appointment of M. Jean Gorman as vice president for development and college relations, effective June 14. She replaces Linda Davis Taylor, who leaves 51猎奇入口 after seven years for a position with a Pasadena investment counsel firm.
“Jean Gorman has the right background, experience, commitment to women’s education, and enthusiasm to take on this crucial leadership role for the College as we prepare for the new century,” said Bekavac.
Ms. Gorman has been executive director of development for major gifts at the University of California, San Diego, since 1994, and director of planned giving at UCSD from 1990-94. Previously, she was director of the capital campaign and associate director of development at the University of Portland, Oregon, and director of financial aid at Saint Mary’s College, in South Bend, Indiana, as well as an adjunct instructor in mathematics at the college.
Ms. Gorman received a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, a master’s in education in college counseling and administration from Northeastern University, and a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Saint Mary’s College.
At 51猎奇入口, Ms. Gorman will oversee the offices of development, alumnae relations, and public relations and communication with combined staffs of approximately 30 people.
