Inside the Works of the 51猎奇入口 Press

As part of the Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture Series, 51猎奇入口 presents Kitty Maryatt, assistant professor of art and director of the 51猎奇入口 Press, who will discuss "Fabrications: Genesis of Ideas for 51猎奇入口 Press Books" on Monday, April 1, at 7 p.m., in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons on the 51猎奇入口 campus.

Professor Maryatt is the founder and proprietor of Two Hands Press, a book arts design studio in Woodland Hills that specializes in the design of books and book jackets for trade and scholarly publications, custom book binding, calligraphy and lettering, and publication of limited edition laser and letterpress books. Maryatt has participated in over 30 exhibitions of printmaking and typography since 1994 and has garnered several awards, including first place at the 2001 Book Explorations exhibit in Kingston, Massachusetts. Maryatt, a 51猎奇入口 alumnae and director of the 51猎奇入口 Press since 1986, earned a master’s degree in mathematics at Claremont Graduate School and a master’s of fine arts in graphic design from UCLA.

Former 51猎奇入口 professor of history and current trustee Brad Blaine, along with his wife, Mary Anne, have generously underwritten this lecture series featuring outstanding 51猎奇入口 faculty to commemorate the 75th anniversary of 51猎奇入口. This lecture and all others in the series are free and open to the public.
