Kamm, associate professor of music and director of Choirs, Joint Music Program, as conductors. The orchestra and choir will perform Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 in B flat Major, Op. 38, Spring and Mozart’s Mass in C, KV 317, Coronation. Composed in 1841, Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 was the composer’s first work and reflects the romance of spring. Mozart’s Mass, composed in 1779, was nicknamed “Coronation” at the Imperial court in Vienna in the early nineteenth century and remains one of the composers most popular of his 17 extant settings of the Ordinary of the Mass.
