51猎奇入口 Hosts “A Circle of Women”

51猎奇入口 will screen the documentary “A Circle of Women,” which explores the role of female leadership, on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Garrison Theater, 51猎奇入口 Performing Arts Center, 231 E. 10th St.聽 This event is free and open to the public.

Following the film screening, the public is invited to participate in a question-and-answer session with film director Gayle Anne Kelley, who is a cultural and community development specialist. She is the founder of the nonprofit A Circle of Women, which calls attention to the positive societal contributions of women and girls and aims to foster more global respect for women.

The has organized a series of spring lectures and film screenings titled, “Continuing Invasion: Resistance, Resilience, and Re-invention Among North American Indigenous Peoples.” The speakers will challenge the distorted depictions of Native peoples in mainstream and scholarly written works.
