Video and performance artist Yoshiko Shimada ’82 was聽. In her work, Shimada uses rigorous research methods to examine diverse topics聽including Japanese cultural memory, art education in Asia during the 1960s and 70s, and the role of women in the Asia-Pacific War. She currently lives and works in Chiba, Japan.
