The Claremont Courier‘s of local 2022 highlights included the MacArthur Fellowship “genius grant” received by Martha Gonzalez, associate professor of Chicanx/Latinx Studies; lead singer, songwriter, and percussionist of the Grammy Award-winning band Quetzal; and convener of the Humanities Institute. Gonzalez received the fellowship in October.
