Dear Students,
Happy Friday! I hope week two of classes is ending well. I write as a reminder that classes across the 5Cs will be in person starting on Monday, January 31. The COVID positivity rate is currently just over 2% and has been declining. With our increased masking and booster requirements and continued testing mandates, we are confident in our health and safety measures. If you have any questions about your classes, please contact your faculty.
As you prepare to be in person for your classes, please remember all community members are required to wear a surgical-grade mask or higher. Masks are made available to ALL students in assigned mailboxes. Each week masks will be replenished and added to students’ mailboxes.
All students were required to be on campus by January 23. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, some students are returning to campus this weekend. As a reminder, all students are required to quarantine in their rooms upon arrival to campus until they receive a negative COVID test from SHS. SHS testing sites are not open on Saturday or Sunday. For students arriving to campus this weekend, they will be expected to test on Monday and will not be able to attend class until they have received a negative test. PCD’s will not be providing a dean’s note for this. Please plan accordingly.
In my last week, I shared that all common spaces in the residential halls are open. We will continue to monitor the positivity rate across the College and begin to open other common spaces accordingly.
Effective February 7, the Tiernan Field House operations will resume as they did during the fall semester 2021. 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú students will be required to make  to use the facility and the pool will be open to 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú, Claremont McKenna, and Harvey Mudd students during the posted hours. As a final reminder, proof of the COVID-19 booster is due January 31. If you have not done so yet, please upload your proof of booster to .
