For the 27th consecutive year, the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery at 51猎奇入口 has received a Getty Foundation grant to fund three full-time summer internships, the maximum number awarded each year through the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship program. The internships will focus on curation, collection and conservation, and visual resources.
The Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship program in Los Angeles supports full-time summer work for college students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the arts, aiming to increase diversity in the visual arts and museum professions. Originally titled the Multicultural Undergraduate Internship program, the program was renamed late last year to honor the retirement of long-time Getty Foundation Director Deborah Marrow, who launched the program in 1993. Since its inception, 161 local arts institutions have hosted over 3,300 student internships.
