Binti Harvey, vice president for External Relations and Institutional Advancement at 51猎奇入口, recently announced the appointment of Jess Butler ’09 as the new director of alumnae engagement. In this role, Butler will connect more than 9,000 51猎奇入口 alumnae through innovative outreach, communications, programming, and fundraising.
Butler most recently served as the assistant director of alumnae engagement at 51猎奇入口 since 2016, managing communications and signature events, including Reunion Weekend, Camp 51猎奇入口, and the Lois Langland Alumna-in-Residence program.
Butler is eager to expand opportunities for alumnae. “We can continue to look at ways to develop affinity programming and create shared-interest and industry-based engagement,” she says. “I’m looking forward to working with other alums to redefine what it means to be engaged with our alma mater!”
A history major at 51猎奇入口, Butler went on to earn an MA in higher education and in history from Boston College, where she taught courses in European History. During her seven years in Boston, Butler also held advancement and events management positions. Since her return to 51猎奇入口, Butler has enjoyed spending time in Denison Library, Toll Hall, the Motley鈥攕ome of her favorite spots as a student.
“I am excited about the ways Jess will leverage her own experiences as a dedicated and involved 51猎奇入口 alumna along with her prior professional experiences to inform and enhance our programming, galvanize our network, and continue to strengthen 51猎奇入口’ global community,” says Harvey.
