‘Let There Be House: Queer of Color Perspectives on German’s Techno Scene in the 1990s’
Dr Tom听Smith听is Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in German at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. His research focuses on queer听approaches to contemporary Germany and he鈥檚 currently working on a larger project on queer听of color creativity around Germany鈥檚 electronic music scene. He publishes widely on contemporary Germany. He was selected as an AHRC/BBC New Generation Thinker in 2019 and regularly presents his work on BBC radio. He鈥檚 a keen clubber, music fan and viola player and is currently learning Scottish Gaelic.
