Journeywomen of the Bauhaus: Anni Albers and Marguerite Wildenhain on the Uses of Craft in a Modern World

Professor Therese Augst (Lewis & Clark College, Portland, OR) discusses the impact of the Bauhaus school on the art and teaching of textile artist and printmaker Anni Albers and ceramic artist Marguerite Wildenhain, followed by a conversation with Willa Baker (SC ’27) and Nichola Monroe (SC ’27). From 5–6 PM, works by Wildenhain will be on view in the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery as part of the 80th 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Ceramic Annual. Presented in collaboration with the 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú German Studies Department.
